A friend of mine named Dave Chisholm was releasing an album and asked me to create a few really short little films to go along with his music. I listened to a few of his songs and came up with the simple idea of an overly excited gentleman riding a bike who is confronted by his emotional opposite.
I can’t draw to save my life so I sketched the characters in the style of a 4 year old and sent my horrible scribbles to Dave. Along with being a musician, Dave is a artist with a great graphic novel under his belt. So he interpreted my scribbles and sent me back a much more pleasant result which I then colored and textured in photoshop.
I chopped them up and tossed them into After Effects and threw together some backgrounds and grass.
For the bike, I photographed a wall ornament my parents have on their dining room wall because that’s the kind of guy I am. I put together a few different shots and took them on a trip to Adobe Premiere where I edited them to fit Mr. Dave Chisholm’s music.I edited them to fit Mr. Dave Chisholm’s music.
